Fractures

In most cases, the reduction of the bone fragments is performed without skin incision. This has as a result: absence of infectious inflammation, which can lead to osteomyelitis, no placing of metal plates and screws, the removal of which would require another operation.

One of the indications for arthrodesis of the ankle joint is a joint deformity, which may occur, after intra-articular fracture or post-traumatic necrosis of the talus, or due to some developmental abnormalities of the skeletal and muscular system that can cause destruction of the cartilage that covers the articular surface of the bones.
